Why do people detest top posting so much?

There is no written law, only written preferentials by some people who 
either have a name, or want to make a name for themselves, but they have 
more right to insist you do what they want, then what you choose to want 
to do.

In years gone by bottom posting was more the norm to short posts like this 
one, but these days top posting is just as accepted by most of thse non 
net-cop-nazis, because of the likes of free email services users who
quote and quote and quote 50 bloody times inline without quoting, why 
should I or anyone skim down 5-10 pages to see a one liner at the end...

Its down to laziness on those who dont know how to CUT qoutes and comment 
inline to them, remove the shit you are not going to directly respond 
to, thats the good netizen method of yesteryear, if your not going to do 
that, then bottom and top posting are equally acceptable and no-one but 
no-one has any right to tell anyone any different.
