WEP on wireless

If your wifi card is truly working and it's not working off a direct wired NIC, opening up wicd should show the wifi connection and a place to add the key. Sorry if that sounded rude. I'm using ndiswrapper for this card. I can't
find any other way to use this card. Knowing that, Anyone got any ideas?
