Yes (please bottom post on this list - meaning your reply goes below mine)

Read my last comments before doing anything else.

Are the partitions mounted as I advised? You should see the partitions
on your liveCD desktop. Mount them (they will alse be available in
/media and try:

$ sudo update-grub

Then - if you get errors:

$ sudo grub
grub> root (hd0,0)
grub> find /boot/grub/stage1

If not, then just reinstall grub to hd0:

grub> setup (hd0)
grub> quit

Actually I'm very surprised that your efforts with SuperGrub failed.
Generally when you fire up SG and select to automatically fix, it just
works - particularly on an 8.04/Win install.

It's late, I'm signing off (and so should you). I'll be around tomorrow
to assist, but suggest that you have a look through the links I've
provided and then logically try to determine what/were/when. For the
interim, you can boot to windows, you can boot to a liveCD, so it's
better to not try to do much/anything further this evening. Get some
rest, call it a night & work on it tomorrow.
