Grub beta issue with kernel update/upgrade

If you want to downgrade to grub 1, you will have to do so on a
partition other than the Ubuntu 9.10 one if you used ext4 for it.

Goh Lip emailed you a method of booting from the grub cli and then
correcting your grub.cfg earlier today.
