Try rmmoding sn9c102 (per the above link) and then loading gspca_sonixj 
(should be on your system, and is the right driver according to the Linux 
Kernel Driver Database - http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-
lkddb/USB_GSPCA_SONIXJ.html).

It's entirely possible that udev/hal is automatically loading the wrong 
driver.
