Further to my original advice, I strongly urge you to read from page 23
onwards. You will see that you can configure the router, via a web-based
interface, in a variety of ways, including the insertion of the user
name and password that your ISP requires for a successful logon. Your
conceptual problem seems to be that you *think* that you are dealing
with a simple modem, whereas what you have is a router (a computer,
probably running a Linux system) front-ended by an ADSL modem in the one
box.
It's very simple to setup, but you will need information from your ISP.
Things such as:
is the service provided via PPPoE (we use PPPoA in England)
what VPI/VCI is used
the encapsulation method
In England this information is provided on signing up with an ISP and I
would imagine that a similar system operates in France?
