cdrom will not mount

I had a similar issue with a set of CDs for a windows game i was trying
to install through wine. I finally discovered what the issue was once I
ran nautilus as root, and looked at the mounted drives...

turned out the CD was actually auto-mounting, but the 'owner' of the
drive was listed as group# 400. I could see this plain as day when
looking as root, but as a normal user, it just kept saying that there
wasn't a disk in the drive. I ended up having to manually extract
everything in the disks to my desktop, chown/chmod, then use them. 

The disks were for a Lord of the Rings game, btw :)
