Doesn't this line indicate that the 'glx' module that's being loaded is
the correct nVidia proprietary driver, though? I'm not positive, because
I only have ATI cards on hand at the moment, but that's what the log
tells me, anyway...

Have you tried setting your resolution to what it should be from the
nVidia settings panel?
