I Need to Ask an Oracle Oracle.

I figured out I need php5-cli for the interface. On the Oracle
web site is a package called 
instantclient-basic-linux32-10.2.0.3-20061115.zip
and another called
instantclient-sqlplus-linux32-10.2.0.3-20061115.zip

	Do I need these to somehow make php5-cli able to talk to
the Oracle server?
Do I need them at all?
