Thanks Michael and Fred,
I re-installed the linux-image and the linux-headers, but that didn't
solve anything.  However, it is obvious that there is something rotten
with the VirtualBox installation.  I didn't compile VirtualBox from source
myself, but let the standard install from the repositories do that.  I
have nothing important installed in VirtualBox, so I guess the easiest is
to remove it, check the system and if OK then re-install VirtualBox.  And
to Michael: Yes, I have the exact same system as you.
