Failure to install gscan2pdf

The key part, I think, is:

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of
linux-headers-generic:
 linux-headers-generic depends on linux-headers-2.6.28-14-generic; however:
  Package linux-headers-2.6.28-14-generic is not configured yet.

Sounds like you have linux-headers-2.6.28-14-generic installed but not
configured.  Do you know why?  What kernel are you using?

My up-to-date 9.04 info (from System Monitor):

Ubuntu
	Release 9.04 (jaunty)
	Kernel Linux 2.6.28-14-generic
	GNOME 2.26.1
