Xubuntu video display completely screwed

Maybe you could use a USB stick or something like that? Or login from 
another machine via SSH.

Actually I'm no expert for X configuration but I had some hope that some 
expert would get an idea what went wrong with your machine. I think the 
sections Device, Monitor and Screen are relevant for your problem.
