Hi Tab,
I bought a Dell Inspiron 1545 a few weeks ago. It seems to have the Broadcomm
chipset. I installed 8.10 and it detected everything right out of the box,
where 8.04 was giving me issues.
If you could get to a store with a boot CD it would be perfect.
