Sounds like all you got was the .iso file for Ubuntu. If so then you'll
need 2 things, a cd drive that's capable of burning cd's, and cd burning
software. If you don't have a cd drive that can write to blank cd's
then you'll need to get Ubuntu a different way. There is a link on the
webpage where you can request a free cd, but it may take 4 weeks or
longer before you actually receive it.
There are also places that will sell Ubuntu cd's for a nominal fee,
usually around $5.00 or so to cover the cost of the media and shipping.
You could also go to www.linux.org and look at the listing for Linux
User Groups and see if there is one close to where you live. I'm sure
that someone in a user group would be more than happy to help.
