Problem eclipse 3.4 updagtes

Hello,

I have had may problems when installing eclipse 3.4 and when  trying to get
the plugins updates.

First of all it took for ever to down load them, after that it did fail to
installed them, even if I started eclipse using sudo.
After the updates failed eclipse did not work any longer ( well some times
it did, some times it did not)

I finally relized that the default java version was gij (GNU libgcj) version
4.3.2 (java-gcj )



I was sure that I have installed sun jdk 1.6, but for any reason it was not
considered as the first option.

after I updated the jdk using sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk and I force
to use this version with sudo update-java-alternatives -s <JRE Version> the
problem was finish

I hope it helps some one. It took me a day to find out.
