Are the lock files that Open Office now creates causing your problem?
When I installed the newest version of Open Office on a brand new vista
computer around Christmas it couldn't open the open office files. i
think I had to change samba settings to allow access to dot files. I
usually make notes when I fix things like that but I can't find them.
Hope this helps
