That simply is not true!
You *can* use the normal graphical install cd with raid and lvm
configurations. I do that all the time.
You just have to install raid and lvm2 inside the livecd session before
you start the installation.

Please read these documents carefully and make sure you understand them.
Don't follow them to the letter because every configuration is different!
I assume that the topicstarter won't have a lot of problems if he
already knows how to do it in Debian.
