AFAIK, nothing is there which can be termed as Building Information
Modeling (BIM).
Sweet Home 3D http://www.sweethome3d.eu/
CollabCAD www.collabcad.com/
Cademia http://www.cademia.org/frontend/index.php?sub=29
can be helpful.

Big issue. Don't we need open standard for CAD files, like documents.
Microsoft was forced to adopt open format OOXML, because of ODF.
AUTODESK will release its file format , if some international standard
effects his business. Why Governments are not asking standard format
for CAD files?
Google Sketchup is good, but it seems Google has no intention to
release it for Linux. They release Google Earth, only on finding other
similar software gaining popularity on Linux. These companies don't
port their solution to Linux or open their format, or follow open
standard unless they feel heat from competitive product. Even no
viewer is there on Linux for AutoCAD files (DWG), and SketchUp files.
