More and more it sounds like you do not have the proper driver
modules loaded/blacklisted.  In a previous post you were asked to
provide the result of a few commands which might give us a hint into
what may be the problem.  On my new HP, there was a need to blacklist
one of the drivers that was being loaded as default, and to get some
packages other than those originally installed.
