Hi Edgar

I would like to explain things: there are a lot of people here who
think Karl should refrain from posting here. Whether this is justified
or not is not for me to say. He gets badmouthed a lot for this, but
this is not normal procedure. People will usually try and help you and
will not shout insults at each other. Unless some really weird things
happen you will not become the target of these sort of things.

I am sorry if your first question to the Ubuntu list has led you to
some irritation over this.

We are all doing this in our spare time, so some things may seem a bit
rash. This is not caused by you, but you may want to read a couple of
replies before you try anything, to prevent trouble from people who
only read parts of the original message or are mixing it up with
something else they have read a couple of seconds ago.
