Comments/Problems:  Tried installation several times, always wind up at pinkish tan blank screen with DVD drive (only drive available) running for as much as an hour.  Never get 
past that point regardless of option tried.  Finally got to point where restarting machine gives choice of OS, but selecting Ubuntu (7.10) still leads to same pink/tan screen.  
In this screen can do absolutely nothing except manually hold switch to turn off and try again.  Obviously not a techie, expected to have to work at it, but.......never have been 
this helpless (have done Red Hat and Xandros in past).  However, I am getting better at staring at nonresponsive screen and listening to drive spin (sorry).
