Screen resolution loop [help!]

Micheal, don't know what my effort to help the OP has to do with your reply.  I've read most of your rants on the issue and agree there are issues with X-window video in Hardy. I'm only trying to offer some suggestions that may help the OP so, please leave me out of your issues with Hardy video and I hope your efforts to get the dev to fix it works. I'd just like to help someone fix their video issue even if it's just a work around until the issue is fixed for all hardware; not that I expect it will be.  Have a good day and ease up a little; this is still a place where users look to get help fixing their issues even if it's just a workaround.
