cant ping external website

hello

i modified the resolv.conf file

but i stil cant even use the command nslookup google.com

i dont have a synaptic manager yet

this is the server edition and i have to yet install the graphics using
ubuntu-desktop and thats the reason i am working on the internet
connectivity

any suggestions
