Hi William,

could you please avoid top posting? It makes it very hard to follow up 
with your problem

Now, as I understand, your harddisk is dead and you are running from CD?
Or did you install to (a new) harddisk?

In any case, it would be great to know the graphics hardware of your 
machine.
