I set up multiple printers (same printer, just different settings) for
my Canon MP750:

- MP750 set to black and white only (default)
- MP750Color set to full color for photo printing etc
- MP750Duplex set to duplex mode (B&W)
- MP750DuplexColor set to duplex mode (Color)

The reason for the 'MP750' is obvious; I want the default printer
settings to stay b&w to save on the cost of color ink. The MP750Duplex's
are so that I don't have to go in and mess around with settings to print
in duplex mode; I've already tuned the ppd/settings to the way I want &
it's just easier to select that as the printer to print to.

Ditto for my cups-pdf printer: 1 is standard cups-pdf and 2 is cups-pdf
using the ghostscrip.ppd drivers so that I can have multiple setup options.

Once you do get your 4250 setup to work, you might try similar (setting
up multiple printers, different settings for the same printer).
