[8.04] forcing CRT screen resolution

Hi,

I just moved a bunch of Dell Optiplex from Fedora to Ubuntu 8.04.
Previously, I managed to have CRT monitors using 1280x1024 resolution.

I fail with Ubuntu, xorg seems to use Plug n'Play.

For instance, on one computer I get:
	host# ddcprobe
	...
oem: Intel(r)Q33/Q35/G33 Graphics Chip Accelerated VGA BIOS
	...
	timing: 1280x1024 at 75 (VESA)
	...

I tried in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
	Section "Device"
		...
Driver "vesa" ## or "intel" or "i810"
		...
Option "IgnoreEDID" "1" ## line present or not
Option "NoDDC" "1" ## line present or not
	Section "Monitor"
		Modeline "1280x1024_75.00" 138.54 1280 1368 ... # as says gtf
	Section "Screen"
		SubSection "Display"
			Modes "1280x1024"

Do you have a solution?

Thanks,
