It's probably Device busy because the USB/Parallel cable/device isn't
getting sufficient power from the USB port.
You might try connecting the cable to a back USB port - if I recall,
there was an issue previously on the list where the USB hub wasn't
getting sufficient power from front ports and just kept resetting itself
due to low power and noise. Also check your bios settings to see if
legacy usb is on or off; if it's on, turn it off & vs/vs.
Also try clearing your cupsys:
sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
