Perfectly good reason, and a way to remain sane!

You might want to look into how many other programs use sqlite to
store private data. I understand that your issue is not with sqlite,
but rather with the open issue regarding purging of the sqlite data
from within Firefox. Another issue that was mentioned is the adherence
to the OS's security settings.

I will not even go into the fallacy here! You seem to understand a bit
less than you think that you do. That is not an insult: I often find
that I understand any particular technology not as well as I thought I
had. But you should rethink your strategy.

You might want to look into the Opera web browser, which runs on
Windows and Linux. Or possibly Portable Firefox for Windows.

In any case, you should know that Firefox 2 support will end in a few
months. I have no problem with you using it, and I will help you if I
can, but you should be ready to change soon.

Good luck.
