Except that if the developers don't see it being a real usability problem
(it can't be happening to everyone - or if it is, it can't be an unlimited
memory leak) there's no way they're going to patch a stable release.
otoh, I didn't actually read all the comments on the bug - I just read the
first couple and the headers, where they said it _was_ fixed for Intrepid.
If it isn't, then there's no reason to assume that the patch Rolf mentions
actually works - which would be another reason why there isn't a fix, or a
promise of one, for Hardy yet.
