I think the remark about using a translator from German was more defiant 
than real. Usually I can recognize if something could be translated from 
German but none of her posts look like they are. And there was this post: 
<https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-users/2008-May/144923.html>. I 
think it is unlikely that she needs a translator from German if she lives 
in Florida.
