Hi Bo, thank you ever so much for your input, for the time being I 
switched to another computer with "open suse", there I had no problem 
(this time) actually it is much easier then others, one can check the 
modem rather quicly each time after a configuration.Thanks ever so much, 
though I will get back to k- ubuntu some time.
