installation in ACER ASPIRE M5641

Dear all,

I am new to linux world. I am facing problem while installing ubuntu 8.04 in my ACER ASPIRE M5641.  All the USB ports were disable once the installation was done and I couldn't move my mouse and keyboard was not functioning on desktop.  Do you know what exactly is the problem?  Would appreciate your help!
