My guess is that you have no DNS setup. Post the output of:

/etc/hosts
/etc/resolv.conf

You should be able to open the network manager
(System|Administration|Network) and click on the DNS tab - add
202.113.16.10 (remember to press the Enter key after you enter the ip).

Now try:

ping edu.cn
