Is kscope suit your needs? If it is, then install it. All KDE dependencies will be satisfied by dpkg automatically. Just for the record, KDE components is big download size but not so big that you have to change to kubuntu just to use kscope.

For example, I use K3B (KDE DVD/CD burner application) instead of Brasero.
