While I doubtless have less postfix experience than you do, the messages
are evidently being queued and dequeued. Hopefully "postconf -n" will
give some clue as to what it could be up to.
The log isn't showing "status=deferred" or any evidence of handover to
your ISP. I wonder what it's doing? What does "mailq" show?

Sounds like a good plan. The next one could be even more trouble.
