Moving from Fedora to Ubuntu - am I doing the right thing?

I have a 64-bit Fedora (the one I'm going to replace with Ubuntu,
probably), most applications are 64-bit as well but I have a 32-bit
Firefox (with the requisite libraries). That makes all the issues
with 64-bit Firefox go away.
