Adobe flashplugin 64-bit

I have downloaded the 64-bit version of the flashplugin provided by
Adobe and have removed nspluginwrapper from my system and all versions
of libflashplayer.so I could find.

To test I started Firefox and about:plugins showed no flashplugin.

I then copied libflashplayer.so from the downloaded tar-file to
~/.mozilla/plugins and restarted firefox.  Now about:plugins shows
that it is activated (Afrikaans here.  "Geaktiveer" means "Activated"
and Ja = Yes).

But when I try out something like http://www.themeatrix.com or youtube.com it
is clearly not working.

What am I missing?
