Switching User in 8.10

I have a similar problem, and I'm sure that it's my Nvidia driver that
interferes somehow.  If I disable the Nvidia driver, then it works, but I
like the Nvidia driver.  Some people have been able to get it to work by
reinstalling fast-user-switch applet, but I haven't had this luck trying
that.
