The other somewhat learning curve is to get the muttrc working with imap 
folders. You may want to include mutt's imap cache as well since it 
speeds up accessing folders. I use mutt over ssh to my home imap server 
quite often and I also have it doing multiple "identities" so when I 
enter a certain mail folder I can use different From addresses which is 
kinda handy. I'd recommend locating a working muttrc that is imap 
friendly and tailoring it for your situation.

I can send mine if that would help. I use it with my own dovecott imap 
server. 

Let me know if a sample muttrc that is imap friendly would help out.
