google grub error 17:

17 : Cannot mount selected partition

Means one of your partitions have changed. Did you format a partition,
or modify in any way your hd partitions (resize, create, etc...), or
modify /boot.grub/menu.lst?

Get on the LiveCD again, check the /boot/grub/menu.lst on your Linux
partition, fix it if needed.

If you see a problem but no way to fix it, post your /boot/grub/menu.lst
and /etc/fstab here.

Then if it's a partition problem, make sure you save all your data on a
_separate_ hard drive (not just a separate partition), and check with
gparted. You might need to reformat/reinstall linux and possibly windows
(not necessary depending on your skill level and time you can spend on
the issue.
