Good Ubuntu hardware?

you can buy a Dell "Ubuntu certified" PC for example, but i don't know
the equipment of those models.

HP and Acer sell "Linux certified" desktops as well.

However, it's quite impossible to have problems with processors,ram and
disks, but you have to take care about the motherboard because some
models have bad chipsets (nvidia, sis, ...).

I suggest you to get rid of asus motherboards because of the problems
above (not all of them, but the majority)

I don't think that's a good idea. KDE4 is not ready yet
