I've not really followed the various threads created for the sound
problem in Intrepid, as I tend to read via a phone and with peoples
inability to trim, this is getting to be practically unusable.

So for the purposes of future users searching the archives, can we sum
the last 3 weeks of your problems with Intrepid (i.e. it was
fundamentally flawed, unfit for purpose and basically unusable) to the
fact that you had the volume level set to mute?
