- - get two nics in a machine
- - boot from the Ubuntu alternate CD
- - select your language, hit F4, choose "Install LSTP Server"
- - choose Install Ubuntu
- - proceed and follow the instructions
I had a little trouble, both my NICs got assigned 192.168.0.1 although
the install proceeded just fine and did indeed have net access.
Manually editing /etc/network/interfaces and setting one (eth0 in my
case) to DHCP solved it. The "Configuring APT..." step of the install
took a long time but did indeed complete. NetworkManager did not work
well with this and I may submit a bug about my problems but for now I
don't have enough information. I've turned it off under "Sessions" in
Preferences.
