Miro crashing

Months ago on 7.10 I had problems with Miro crashing so I installed the
latest from their repository,
'http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/pculture.org/miro/linux/repositories/ubuntu'
version 'gusty/'.  It worked great. 

But I've just upgraded to 8.04 and found the current Ubuntu version
dosen't like my previous version's data files. So I try installing
Miro's latest package from their repository again, but it requires
libxine < 1.1.8 not the 8.04's 1.1.11.1 version and will not install.
