Telnet Disconnects - Please help!

No, that's not it. I've had telnets operatoional over pieces of wet
string without problems. The protocol incorporates flow control.

Do you have this problem when connecting to anything *except* the Cisco
switches?

Is this real telnet? Not going through serial converters or anything?

Does it only happen when you display the config, or does it also happen
when you (for example) do a "show tech" or something else with a lot of
output?

What kinds of banners and descriptions do you have? Is it possible that
you are inadvertently sending the telnet disconnect escape sequence down
the line (shouldn't cause a problem anyway, but...)? Have you checked
the communications setting sin telnet and on the Cisco?
