Hi!
Indeed, I did mess up there:
I have a 14 MBit/s DSL connection
When downloading updates via aptitude I get speeds of about 30KB/s
with parallel surfing being impossible.
In Windows I can still download with at least 400KB/s.

I installed Fedora 9 yesterday and from what I saw, it's not much
faster, but I will check that again when I have a minute.
