Looks like I get to eat my words (some what). Apparently something
must have gone wrong. I did a 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' and after
it finished I rebooted (actually the machine locked up 45 minutes
later). When it booted back up everything was working like it was
before the upgrade, except for Firefox. Four extensions are no
longer working. One is Firebug which I'm not too happy about losing.
Thanks for the information on the change from restricted to
hardware. I'm sure that I'll need that in the future.
