wireless speed in network manager

I have no reference for it just flat out experience with a linksys wusb54gv4 screaming at it when i was bored and suddenly i lost the siginal at the moment i started and a minnute after (time it takes my computer to log into wifi) it had a half connection because i had to turn the volumous wall unit ac on
