I had a similar problem on screensavers hosing my old Compac 450Mhz
computer. I eventually went through them all and noted the one's that
crapped out my system. The screensavers are located at:
/usr/lib/xscreensaver

You can delete them by:

Alt-F2 then
gksu nautilus

(or do the same from a terminal)

That will put nautilus in the root mode. Then you can go to 'File
System' usr/lib/xscreensaver and delete those that give you problems.

*WARNING* using gksu nautilus will allow you to delete critical root
files, so use with caution.
