internet access on kubuntu

Hello

i have made a fresh installtion of kubuntu 7.10. and now i wanted to access
the internet. my router configures the ip automatically so the command i
used is

sudo dhclient3 eth0


but it doesnt work. i had tried this command in my earlier attempt to
connect to internet when i had installed ubuntu and it had worked. but now i
am clueless as to how i could move forward.

help please
